Department Overview

The Department of Sool & Magalir Maruthuvam at Maria Siddha Medical College & Hospital & Hospital is dedicated to women's healthcare by integrating the traditional principles of Siddha medicine with modern obstetrics and gynaecology. The department provides comprehensive education in maternal health, antenatal and postnatal care, infertility management, menstrual disorders, reproductive health, and preventive healthcare for women.

Students receive extensive clinical exposure through outpatient services, inpatient care, labour room observation, antenatal clinics, infertility counselling, bedside teaching, case discussions, and hands-on clinical training. The department prepares future Siddha physicians to deliver compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based care for women at every stage of life.
